FLAGGED
Last updated: 2026-09-01
Short version: FLAGGED collects nothing. The app has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. It does not make network requests of any kind. The only data that exists is your own gameplay progress, and it never leaves your iPhone.
This policy applies to the iOS app FLAGGED (bundle identifier com.daylorwilliams.flagged), published by Daylor Williams, an individual developer. In this policy, "the app," "FLAGGED," "we," and "I" all refer to that app and its developer.
None. FLAGGED does not collect, request, receive, or transmit any personal information or usage information.
Specifically, the app does not:
FLAGGED is a fully offline app. It contains no networking code and makes no requests to any server — not ours, and not anyone else's. There is no backend service, no cloud sync, no leaderboard service, and no remote configuration. The app works identically in Airplane Mode.
The country flags shown in the game are standard Unicode flag characters rendered by the fonts already on your iPhone, so the app does not need to download images or contact an image host.
So the game can remember your progress between launches, FLAGGED saves a small amount of gameplay data in the app's own private storage area on your iPhone. This data stays inside the app's sandbox on your device. It is not sent anywhere, it is not readable by other apps, and neither the developer nor any third party can access it.
| What is stored | Why |
|---|---|
| Completed game results — the date played, the mode (Easy or Hard), your score and number of correct answers, your completion time, when you finished, and the answers you submitted for each of the ten flags | To show your result screen and answer review, and to enforce one game per day |
| Your daily streak, derived from which days you completed | To show your current streak |
| Hint usage for the current day (a count, up to two) | To limit hints to two per day |
| An in-progress game, if you leave mid-game (which question you are on and the answers you have given so far) | So you can resume today's game where you left off; it is discarded once the day changes |
| Your preferred mode (Easy or Hard) | To remember which mode the Play button starts |
That is the complete list. Nothing else is written to storage, and none of it identifies you.
The result screen has an optional "Share result" button. If — and only if — you tap it, iOS opens its standard share sheet and you choose where the text goes (Messages, Notes, a social app, the clipboard, and so on). The shared text is spoiler-free: it contains the daily challenge number, the mode you played, a grid of green and red squares, your score out of ten, and your streak. It does not contain any personal information.
The app itself does not send this text anywhere. Once you pick a destination, the text is handled by the app you chose and by iOS, under their own privacy policies. If you never tap Share, nothing is ever handed off.
There are none. FLAGGED integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting services. No data about you is sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to anyone, because no such data exists.
The app is built with open-source frameworks (Expo and React Native) that ship as code inside the app. They are not services, they do not receive data from the app, and the app does not enable any of their optional network features.
FLAGGED does not track you. It does not use the advertising identifier, does not link any data to your identity, and does not share data with data brokers. The app's privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking: false with no tracking domains and no collected data types. Because the app performs no tracking, it does not present App Tracking Transparency prompts.
FLAGGED is a general-audience geography quiz that is safe for children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, so there is nothing to disclose, share, or delete under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU GDPR, or similar laws. The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no external links, no messaging, and no user-generated content, so there is no way for a child (or anyone) to disclose personal information through it.
Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is no server-side data to retain and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
The local gameplay data described above remains on your iPhone for as long as the app is installed. You can remove all of it at any time:
Reinstalling the app starts you over with an empty history. There is no backup or account to restore from, so this deletion is final.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA give you rights to access, correct, port, and delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold no personal data about you. The only data connected to your use of FLAGGED lives on your own device and is entirely under your control, as described above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
Since no data leaves your device, there is no transmission to intercept and no server to breach. Data stored by the app is protected by iOS itself: it lives in the app's private sandbox and is covered by your device's own encryption and passcode protection. The app additionally disables arbitrary and local cleartext network loads at the operating-system level.
If FLAGGED ever changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if a future version adds an optional account or online leaderboard — this policy will be updated before that version is released, the "Last updated" date at the top will change, and the app's App Store privacy disclosures will be updated to match. Material changes will be described here. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Questions about this policy or about privacy in FLAGGED can be sent to support@daylor.ai. FLAGGED is made by Daylor Williams, an independent developer, and support is handled directly by the developer.
